Northwestern Health Unit

Region: Kenora and Rainy River

The mission of the Northwestern Health Unit (NWHU) is to improve the quality and length of life in our communities: healthy lifestyles, longer lives, lived well. The NWHU shares information promotes and supports healthier choices, implements protective measures and provides vital services and programs. The Student Nutrition Program at the NWHU is an important part of our work with local schools, to provide nutritious, school based meal and snack programs to children and youth to support healthy growth and development.
