Central Ontario’s Healthy Eating for Better Learning Success Story

We set a goal to expand the number of workshops offered in schools, and we are pleased to share that we’ve made significant progress. Through enhanced advertising efforts, an improved sign-up process, and the development of a diverse range of workshops tailored to all student age groups, we’ve been able to offer valuable nutritional and educational experiences across the regions.

These workshops have proven to be effective in teaching students about healthy food options and recipes they can enjoy—and even try making at home. Additionally, we’ve ensured that each workshop aligns seamlessly with the educational curriculum, providing even greater value to schools.

As a result, we’ve successfully doubled the number of workshop contacts and have delivered 75 workshops across all regions this year. We’re excited about the impact these initiatives are having on student health and well-being.

Workshop; smoothie bike

June 2024

We are so grateful to have been able to offer this workshop opportunity to our students. The CDC provided the animation as well as the bike and the students made their own smoothie mixes then blended them up by biking! It was a loved experience by all who participated from grade one to grade six.  Definitely something we would like to do again.
