Volunteer
Volunteers are the heart of student nutrition programs – a little time can make a big difference.
Student Nutrition Program volunteers include:
- Seniors whose presence fosters intergenerational relationships, missing in many children’s lives.
- High school students who earn hours towards their secondary school community service requirements while gaining real-life experience working with children and getting to know their community.
- Employees whose businesses or organizations offer flex or paid time to volunteer at a student nutrition program.
Many communities welcome visitors to their student nutrition programs. To arrange a visit or to offer the gift of your time, please contact the local Coordinator or school nearest you. Making a positive difference in children’s lives by volunteering with a student nutrition program can be a very gratifying experience.
Donate
We welcome contributions from businesses, service organizations and individuals interested in helping to improve the learning capacity, health and well-being of children and youth. As well as financial contributions, donations of healthy food and other goods are greatly appreciated. All lead agencies are charitable organizations, and are pleased to provide donors with a charitable tax receipt.
