Community Partnerships are committees or organizations who support student nutrition programs at a local level.
Their roles may include:
- Providing support and advice to Lead Agencies regarding local program needs
- Supporting fundraising and the development of partnerships with local sponsors
- Establishing linkages with local Public Health Unit to support program delivery through nutrition education, workshops, consultation, site visits and participation on community partner committees.
In some communities, community partnerships may also act as the financial flow thru agency, allocating funds to schools.
If you are interested in finding out or becoming a member of your local Community Partnership Committee, please contact the lead agency for your region.
