Lead Agency in Central West

Kitchener-Waterloo YMCA

Region: Halton, Peel, Waterloo, Wellington, Dufferin, Guelph

Dream, Grow and Achieve Together at the YMCA Our promise to you is to give you a sense of belonging and opportunities to grow as a person. The YMCAs of Cambridge & Kitchener Waterloo are charitable organizations that strengthen our communities by providing opportunities for personal growth and active involvement. Working together, our YMCAs are a key provider of programs and services for Waterloo Region’s young people, their families, and newcomers to Canada. The YMCA creates friendly, safe, supportive communities where people from all ages and stages of life can come together and pursue good health in spirit, mind, and body. As a leading charity, the YMCA cares about the health and well-being of everyone in our community.

For example, financial assistance is provided to people who have difficulty paying the fees. The YMCA helps people develop healthy, active lifestyles through a wide range of programming that includes licensed child care, immigrant settlement, an award-winning Outdoor Centre, YMCA Early Years Centres, Virtual YMCAs, the Cambridge Youth Leadership Development Centre and the health, fitness and recreation programs offered at the A.R. Kaufman Family YMCA, the Chaplin Family YMCA and the Stork Family YMCA. Our programming is based upon our core values. We also have a global perspective and are working to make an impact upon the health of Africans through the YMCA in Zambia.
