Sudbury Better Beginnings Better Futures Association

Sudbury Better Beginnings Better Futures is a prevention program for high risk communities.  The Sudbury Better Beginnings Better Futures’ holistic model provides child-centered activities and community development in the Flour Mill/Donovan neighborhood.  Founded in 1991, the nonprofit community center houses many programs and services including Licensed Before & After School Programs, Recreational After School and Summer Programs, Volunteer Recruitment Program, Community Closet, Emergency Food Cupboard, Baby’s Breath Program, S.P.O.T. Program, Best Start Hubs as well as the Student Nutrition Program which helps fund nutritious breakfast, morning meal and snack programs at a majority of the schools in the Sudbury and Manitoulin districts.  The Student Nutrition Program provides access to healthy, nutritious food which has proven to support healthy growth and development.  The program supports meals and snacks at each school and is dependent on volunteers and community partnerships.
